The project task was centered around packaging concepts for cosmetic products within the four brands: Johnson´s Adult, Neutrogena, Aveeno and Le Petit Marseillais. On one hand, the new packaging concepts had to be more sustainable on an ecological level and on the other hand more luxurious, all while researching and implementing new application technologies.
A strong focus on customer and market research led to a strategic foundation for future business opportunities, as well as a wide variety of new product concepts.
Development of a strategy
At the begging of the project stood an intense interdisciplinary research phase, covering packaging design trends, cosmetics, production, logistics, market, user, luxury attributes, sustainability and visual merchandising. A strategy was crated on the research foundation, which led the way to a broad spectrum of new market opportunities and product concepts, uniting sustainable packaging with
luxury cosmetics.
